The Sligo Pallets Forest Rally Championship Team are excited to introduce the J1000 Challenge Trophy for 2025, with the race to claim the newest title in Irish Motorsport kicking off this weekend with the Carlow Car Club Forest Rally. The J1000 Challenge Trophy will be awarded at the end of the season to the highest placed competitor in the Class 21 points table driving a non-Volkswagen Group car and not finishing in the top 3 overall. To be eligible for the award, competitors must not drive a Volkswagen Group car e.g. the VW Up, Seat Mii or Skoda Citygo, instead competitors driving Peugeot 107’s, Toyota Aygo’s, Citroen C1’s, Nissan Micra’s, Hyundai I10’s etc will battle it out to be crowned the inaugural Challenge Trophy winner at the end of the year. The season opening Carlow Forest Rally has attracted a staggering entry, amongst them 29 J1000 crews.
