James Macdonald has registered another Classic 4wd Stage win, sneaking under Tim Smith's time of 13:46.0 by just 0.1 of a second. Smith appears to have woken up after a measured start to the day - both drivers putting over 10 seconds on Paul Cross. Macdonald has cut the defecit to Cross to under a minute, with four stages including the second running of the 29km Berwick stage to run.
