Hayden Paddon has one SS14 by 8.9 seconds over Ben Hunt, to go one stage out from a tenth Otago Rally victory. Teammate Ari Pettigrew lost time to Hunt, however still holds a 27.1 second buffer going into the final test, with Horan and Gilmour over a minute further behind. Horan's time was 8.4 seconds quicker than fifth placed Emma Gilmour, more than doubling his buffer to the Dunedin local, and all but ending her push to fourth behind the wheel of her brand new PRG run Citroen C3.
